Curacao, Netherlands Antilles Saturday, March 7th 2009
Windguru predicted strong winds for today and the small crafts advisory is always a good sign. Hedde had a friend, Jurgen, over from Aruba and wanted to show him some windsurf sites on our island. We opted for St Joris. There as a pretty heavy swell, but the wind was strong and full onshore. We decided to go in anyway and it turned out to be a great spot in onshore winds! Full planning the whole with about 2-3 ft waves on the inside. It didn't really make sense to go outside, because the big swell outside was completely closing out on the reef. Anyway, sailed till we were sore. Next time when it's strong I want to check it out with sideshore!
